The Expanse: Osiris Reborn – Gameplay video shows an infiltration mission with a monster alert
In the video “Beetle in the Anthill”, developer and publisher Owlcat Games showcases a covert mission from The Expanse: Osiris Reborn on Ganymede that goes completely off the rails.
Owlcat Games is following up on The Expanse: Osiris Reborn with “Beetle in the Anthill”, a detailed gameplay sequence that’s packed with action. The focus is on a Martian woman who, together with her twin sister J, infiltrates a secret base on Jupiter’s moon Ganymede whilst posing as a member of Protogen’s Osiris division. According to reports, this mission awaits you after around 10 hours of gameplay in The Expanse.
From Undercover to Escape
What begins as an undercover mission quickly takes a turn for the worse: a Code Yellow escalates to a Code Red, your cover is blown, and you must hold your own in firefights against Protogen soldiers. However, things only become truly dangerous when a mysterious monster appears – one that cares nothing for factions or loyalties and ruthlessly fights its way through doors to get to you.
With the help of UN soldier Michael, you devise a plan to lure the creature into a dome and take it out with a concentrated beam of light. You’ll have to make a choice: will you save the Agritech workers whilst facing the monster alone – or will you abandon the civilians?
The voice acting and production values appear significantly more polished, following the recasting of the male lead roles in response to beta feedback. The sci-fi role-playing game is scheduled for release on PC in spring 2027.
