Paradox Announcement Show 2023: The Lamplighters League planned for 2023
Yesterday, the Paradox Announcement Show 2023 took place, where publisher Paradox was able to present many WIP projects - expansions, updates and even new titles. The strategy game The Lamplighters League is one of them.
The Lamplighters League is being realised under the direction of Harebrained Schemes, the creators of the Shadowrun Trilogy and BATTLETECH, and is currently set for release in 2023. In this game, enriched with XCOM elements, you're sent back to an alternate version of the 1930s, where a tyrannical cult is up against it. The best of the best are already dead, so you have to fall back on the best of the worst. So you recruit villains who are as charismatic as they are dangerous.
Behind the façade of an animated film with Indiana Jones vibes, there is indeed an XCOM-Like. And as all strategists know, that's a good sign. Paradox gets straight to the point in the presentation - unlike with Cities Skylines 2 - and gives us direct insights into the gameplay of The Lamplighters League. The game allows different approaches to completing missions. Tactical, turn-based battles, but also direct confrontations during infiltration's are on the agenda.
The Lamplighters League will be released for PC in 2023 and it will be available on Gamesplanet soon.
