Total War: Warhammer 3 – Deep-dive livestream showcases Thanquol’s Campaign ahead of release

Creative Assembly has revealed the details of Thanquol’s campaign for Total War: Warhammer 3. The dev stream for the “Lords of the End Times” DLC, which runs for just under 1.5 hours, is now available to watch.

Anyone who’s been eagerly awaiting the Skaven’s most vicious Grey Seer can now breathe a sigh of relief: in a livestream lasting just under 100 minutes, the developers of Total War: Warhammer 3 showcased Thanquol’s campaign.

The Lords of the End Times content pack introduces no fewer than four new legendary Lords to the game – alongside Thanquol, there are Nagash, the Glottkin Brothers and Boris Todbringer. Each of them will have their own units and their own campaign mechanics inspired by the End Times.

Thanquol and his rats

Thanquol leads Clan Scruten, riding into battle on his faithful (and usually reluctant) rat-ogre, Boneripper. His trademark is his so-called ‘master plans’: secret schemes that may be military, magical or economic in nature – if they go awry, nasty setbacks loom. In battle, he casts spells from the Lores of Plague and Ruin and can later unleash the dreaded ‘Dreaded Thirteenth’ spell. New additions include the legendary hero Skreech Verminking, as well as various Verminlords and Stormfiends units.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is already available; the Thanquol DLC will be released on September 24th 2026 for PC and is available individually (like the other Lords) or as part of the TWW3: Lords of the End Times add-on.
