Vampires: Bloodlines 2 - Detailed Gameplay Presentation of the Gamescom Demo
Paradox Interactive shows 28 minutes of gameplay from the pre-alpha of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, which will be available in March 2020.
Since E3 2019, developer Hardsuit Labs has been hard at work crafing their upcoming action RPG sequel Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, and during Gamescom fans were given a taste of the pre-alpha demo. In the new 28 minute Gameplay footage, publisher Paradox Interactive sat down with Creative Director Ka'ai Cluney from Hardsuit Labs to comment on game scenes from the alpha version.
The gamoe starts off about 2 hours into the main game (if you're quick enough) and Cluney gives us a taste of the demo. You find yourself as a young Thin Blood in Bloodlines 2 after a big "mass creation" of the vampires. Sooner or later you'll want to become a respected vampire in Seattle, so you should join one of the many factions in Bloodlines 2. When Cluney leaves the apartment in the demo presentation and takes his first steps on Pioneer Square as a Thin Blood and visits nightclubs, the harmonious atmosphere of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 immediately attracts attention. To have to find one's way as a thin blood in a (also politically very complex) vampire world conjures up the spirit of discovery.
Looting, plundering and sucking blood
After accepting the first orders from NPCs, we commit the first criminal actions in the game as we crack door locks and help ourselves to cash from the cash registers. The search for a certain foe named Slugg leads us to the underground Nosferatu, who are known to be well informed in the world. It's then our chance to decide what to important decision to make via the Bloodlines 2 dialogue system, and are thrust into the middle of a political dispute between the factions.
Depending on the faction we join in Bloodlines 2, players are given different vampire skills for object manipulation and combat techniques. The gameplay demo also gives us another look at the action packed fights in the game, and as you'd expect you'll be able to sink your teeth into foes to drain them and nourish yourself in the process. And it's not long before we come face to face with Slugg himself.
