Wardogs Launches in Early Access: 100-Player Chaos with a Cash-Based Economy
Wardogs from Bulkhead and Team17 is now playable in Early Access. The tactical 100-player shooter combines destruction, teamwork, and a brutal in-game economy.
After months of hype, the time has finally come: Wardogs has launched into Early Access. Developed by Bulkhead, the multiplayer shooter drops you onto a 256-square-kilometre map with extensive environmental destruction. Three teams battle over a randomly placed control zone โ hold it to earn points, and the first team to reach 100 wins.
A Cash-Based System Instead of Fixed Classes
There are no fixed classes in Wardogs. Instead, every mercenary starts with $10,000 in virtual cash, which can be spent on weapons, equipment, or vehicles. Teamplay actions replenish your bankroll, allowing you to upgrade your loadout. Whether you choose to operate as a sniper from a distance or deliver supplies by helicopter is entirely up to you.
The foundation for Wardogs' concept comes from the popular Arma 3 mod "King of the Hill", whose creators were brought directly on board for the project. Publisher Team17 plans to continue developing Wardogs throughout its one- to two-year Early Access period before the final version is released. Wardogs is available for PC now โ with 10% off on Gamesplanet.
