Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2: The Obelisk update (5.0) has arrived in the sector - What's New?

Saber Interactive arrives with a truckload of improvements and new content for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2. The new feature that stands out and gives the update its name is ‘Operation Obelisk’. Patch 5.0 is here to make the shooter of the year 2024 better, bigger and even stronger.

In this new operation, players must turn an obelisk on Demerium to weaken the enemy's defences. This operation takes place alongside the final events of the game's main campaign and takes you through a tomb.

Who ends up in operations involving Thousand Sons? Exalted Tzaangors on their discs, of course. This is the Maj's new enemy and he knows how to be dangerous both in close combat and from a distance.

The patch also adds a customisation pack for the Dark Angels to the equipment page, including a bolter rifle, a plasma pistol, an energy sword and a shield. A champion skin gives your helmet wings.

The melee mechanics in Space Marine 2 have been overhauled by developer Saber Interactive to provide more options in the game, with increased damage and new block mechanics. Finally, mods are no longer supported in public lobbies. But don't worry, you will still be able to customise your private games. Various gameplay and comfort adjustments as well as bug fixes round off the Obelisk update.
