From shooting game freaks to office workers, the latest installment in that series that captivated so many users!! Strikers 1999
Autumn, 1999.
Countless ultra-microscopic machines called “nanomachines” arrived from space, infiltrating and multiplying within major weapons and military terminals across nations. Weapons rendered unmanned by the nanomachines launched indiscriminate attacks, reducing major cities worldwide to ruins. Then, the terror of all-out nuclear war loomed as tactical nuclear missiles were accidentally launched!!
Military units from nations that barely prevented nanomachine infiltration were mobilized for an operation to eliminate the unmanned weapons. But their forces were far too small to fight against the weapons of the entire world.
...Just when it seemed there was no way to oppose them anymore!! The command center received a mysterious transmission. Six bright white trails appeared in the sky... “This is ‘STRIKERS’. We are now commencing an attack on the enemy's central command! We expect rear support from the remaining forces!”
After half a century, the new legend of the special forces unit “STRIKERS” begins now!

Super Shot
- Firing shots at enemy aircraft charges energy into the level gauge at the bottom of the screen.
- With energy charged in the level gauge, holding down the shot button fires a Super Shot with power corresponding to levels 1-3.
- While firing a Super Shot, energy in the level gauge decreases.
- When energy reaches 0, Super Shots can no longer be fired.
- Starting with Strikers 1999, this Super Shot gained a cancel function,
- allowing players to conserve the level gauge at will.
- Cancel → Release the button while firing the Super Shot.
Technical Bonus
- All stage bosses except the final one have a weak point called the ‘Core’, which exposes itself externally for a few seconds during attacks.
- It turns red when the player's ship approaches within a certain distance.
- Concentrating attacks on it at this moment allows overwhelmingly faster destruction than normal.
- Destroying the Core and defeating the enemy quickly adds a Technical Bonus.
