Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition – The Baltic Powers DLC Brings Danes and Poles to the Battlefield
Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is getting a major new DLC chapter with "The Baltic Powers": Denmark and Poland join as new civilizations, alongside new game modes and plenty of maps.
The The Baltic Powers add-on for the real-time strategy classic Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is available now – on Gamesplanet as a Steam key or, alternatively, a Microsoft Store key. At the same time, the development team is rolling out the biggest update in the game's history. The expansion focuses on Northern Europe and the power struggles around the Baltic Sea, serving as a northern counterpart to the previous Mediterranean expansion.
Take on the role of the Danes or Poles – both civilizations come with their own units, technologies, and Home City cards. If you're looking for some tactical variety, give the two new game modes a try: in Regicide Mode, you have to protect your ruler, while Independence Mode lets you play without experience points or a Home City.
New Maps, Mercenaries, and Adversaries
"The Baltic Powers" also adds more than 25 new Random and Historical Maps to the game, along with more than 40 additional units. During your campaigns, you'll encounter new allies such as the Scottish House of Stuart, the Sámi, and the Inuit – as well as new enemy types including Harpooners, whaling ships, and mercenaries such as the Gallowglass. Those looking to spruce up their appearance can also dive into more than 50 new hero customisation options.
