Get another look at the explosive gameplay in the upcoming Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 ahead of the pre-order Beta for the game, which begins later today.
In the first gameplay video for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, publisher Focus Home Interactive showed us how to destroy enemy fleets with brute force. For the second clip we're taking a look the morale of the crew, which should have far-reaching consequences for the course of a battle. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 gives the player access to "Terror Weapons" and teleporting melee troops that can be deployed to deal with things on the ground. This may cause the enemy crew to panic and the Captain to Mutiny the Admiral in order to flee the battlefield.
If you've decimated the crew of a ship, or caused them to fleet in panic you can take it over or simply destroy it. Not only are the Tyranids ships in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 visually impressive, but they are special with long tentacles that can be used to capture smaller ships before they escape. The game will also feature unpredictable events that may change the course of a battle. Space Titans could appear from nowhere and plasma storm or asteroids may wreak havoc on your fleet. Each altercation will be unique and you'll have to react accordingly to deal with the situation.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 launches on January 24th 2019, and you can get Instant Access to the Multiplayer Beta from today until December 12th by pre-ordering the game. There will also be another Beta arriving next month that offers a taste of the single player campaign!
