Unfortunately the issue does exist, even I surprised about this. If you pause or interrupt the download it will give you disk error code once you want to launch the game. Scan and repair doesn't work for this game. The only solution so far is to download it in one go unpaused which simply impossible for me as the download size is enormous. That's why I'm hesitating to purchase if the issue still persist. Google it, and you will find it, there are a lot of complaints about it even in activision forum.
