Hello,
is the region lock based on geographic location or steam billing account information?
I'm in Japan but my Steam account is from Portugal, will this activate in my account despite my physical location?

EDIT: If anyone's wondering, the game activates successfully if you're traveling or residing in Japan as long as your Steam account is from one of the available regions! It just worked for me. It may be related to this news, who knows? :)

replyHi there, you would still need to use a VPN to make the code work as it takes both things into consideration as far as I'm aware.
replywould I be eligible for refund if it fails to activate due to that reason? I'm not sure I want to risk using VPN on Steam.
