Hunt: Showdown Closed Alpha launching January 31st, signup now!

Developer Crytek is gearing up for their Closed Alpha Test for the Action Co-op FPS Hunt: Showdown, launching on January 31st. Alpha Signups open now.

Crytek's upcoming multiplayer PVP/PVE combo Hunt: Showdown has already given fans plenty to look forward to as we've been treated to glimpses of the gameplay last year, and soon players will be able to try it for themselves as the Closed Alpha arrives on January 31st. Recently some players were invited to try out the game with server tests and the general impression was positive. You can signup on the official website for a chance to play later this month, and we foresee this might become a huge hit among the community.

The game is a competitive multiplayer bounty hunter game which will combine PVP with PVE elements, such as being able to explore a wide open world and completing objectives with up to 10 players fighting it out for the same bounty, either solo or with a team of two. Players will need to find clues to the whereabouts of a bounty and track it before the other teams do, or they can eliminate the competition and claim the bounty for themselves! You'll be able to equip and upgrade various weapons, equipment and skills to make your hunter a little more powerful.

If you don't get into the Closed Alpha straight away then don't panic, as invitations will be sent in waves - so you may get a chance to get into the test at a later date.
