Rumour: Injustice 2 PC Version outed by retailers
Retailers Amazon France and Game Mania seemingly out the popular fighting sequel Injustice 2's rumoured PC version, but is it real or not?
Injustice 2 launched earlier this year on PS4 and Xbox One, and received high praise from critics and fans alike. While nothing official has been confirmed about a PC version, rumours have been circling for a while and now it seems that we could be getting even closer to an announcement as retailers Game Mania and Amazon France have begun listing Injustice 2 on PC.
Previously we've had the original Injustice Gods Among US launch early on console and then an "Ultimate Edition" arrived on PC a bit later that featured all the DLC characters included. If the pattern continues we could see the DLC characters bundled with the PC version on Day 1, so heroes like Starfire, Red Hood, Raiden and more would be playable at launch. For reference, Injustice Gods Among Us released on 360 and PS3 in April 2013 and the Ultimate Edition arrived 8 months later in November. Should Warner Bros decide to do a PC version of Injustice 2 we could very well see the port at the end of this year.
It's also worth noting that previous NetherRealm titles have been ported by other developers, such as High Voltage and QLOC (who replaced High Voltage on Mortal Kombat X). Let's also not forget Warner Bros has a troubled history when it comes to PC releases, the PC port of Batman Arkham Knight caused quite the stir when it first released. Though it's possible they would learn from their mistakes and take extra time to make sure it's a polished port this time around.
Have you played Injustice 2 on console or will you wait to see if it does arrive on PC at last?
