Hey, yes the game still requires GFWL as far as I'm aware.
It should install it up first launch, if for some reason that doesn't work you can grab the GFWL Installer from PCGamingWiki (our partner and trusted website) https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1012-microsoft-games-for-windows-live/
