Team17 announces Ship of Fools a new co-op roguelike!
Not for landlubbers: With a first trailer, publisher Team17 has announced a new action roguelike that you can play together in co-op mode with two players on the couch or online. In "Ship of Fools" you will travel on a ship and fend off numerous dangers. The colorful roguelike adventure is being developed by Fika Productions from Quebec. Ship of Fools is scheduled for release in 2022 - a more exact release date has not yet been announced.
In Ship of Fools, you'll flatten sea monsters in a sprawling archipelago, apparently with the goal of preventing a major apocalypse, an aquapocalypse. The Great Lighthouse, important to the archipelago, has apparently taken damage and now the corruption is moving across the land - and across the water. Work together aboard the ship to make quick repairs and selectively man or woman ship's cannons. Set sail and be prepared to fend off many enemies in numerous playthroughs, as well as destroy larger bosses.
Team17 makes it clear that Ship of Fools is designed for co-op fun. Up on the deck of the Stormstrider you'll have your hands full, but you'll also have your hands full on land as you track down treasure chests and earn new items that will make future runs easier.
