New game releases this week – highlights on Gamesplanet:

Europa Universalis V

Use war, trade or diplomacy to satisfy your grandest ambitions and dominate five centuries of history in the newest version of Europa Uni...

Genre: Strategy | Release: November 4th 2025
No one who feels at home in the world of strategy games will be able to ignore Europa Universalis 5 from Paradox. This long-running series enters its fifth iteration with even greater ambitions: 12 years lie between EU4 and EU5, which will be released on November 4th. The fan community's expectations are correspondingly high.

On large maps in Europa Universalis V, you will lead a nation of your choice through many centuries of development, engage in constant exchange with other nations, often diplomatically, but not infrequently also militarily, trade and establish colonies. New to EU5 are the weightings of provinces, which will bring more complexity into play in the future through population units, along with their cultures, religions and classes. Social systems are more pronounced, with a significant influence on the economy, peace, uprisings and more. The economic and trading systems will also be much more diverse in Europa Universalis 5.

There are too many new features to list them all. Due to its complexity, EU5 is a game with a long learning curve – prepare yourself for a real monster of a game. Available on Gamesplanet upon release.

Whiskerwood

Establish a home for your industrious mice under the oppressive paw of your cat overlords in this city builder featuring complex simulati...

Genre: Simulation/Strategy | Early Access Launch: November 6th 2025
Publisher Hooded Horse, known for the excellent medieval city-building simulation Manor Lords, among other titles, is coming out of the mouse hole on 6 November with cat-and-mouse content. In Whiskerwood, you are essentially the commanding mouse tamer in a mouse colony, constantly expanding your habitat, including production and supply structures, raw material processing and automation processes, all to serve the feline rulers of this strange world.

In Whiskerwood, you must constantly maintain a balance between the satisfaction of your mouse people and that of the feline authorities. An exciting idea for a strategy game! A demo is already available to play for free on Steam (link on our product page), and the game will be on sale on Gamesplanet from the early access launch on November 6th – including a hefty discount.

Syberia - Remastered

Rediscover the clockpunk universe of Benoît Sokal in this fully remastered version of the first Syberia game.

Genre: Adventure | Release: November 6th 2025
Syberia has come a long way as an adventure series – and left a lasting impression along the way. It all began with the first Syberia in 2002, penned by the (now deceased) Belgian comic artist Benoît Sokal. He was one of the first illustrators to devote himself to video game development. His visual vision shapes the appearance of the entire Syberia series. Worlds rich in detail, a poetic narrative style and exciting characters, including protagonist Kate Walker, make every Syberia game a special experience.

On November 6th, publisher (and developer) Microids will release a completely revamped remake of the first instalment. Syberia Remastered respects the artist's vision, but features more modern, contemporary 3D graphics. With dynamic lighting effects and more detailed character models. The user interface, controls and general playability have also been adapted to today's standards. A clear recommendation for adventure fans!

Save money with Gamesplanet: Sales and offers of the week

Weekly offers, publisher sales, promotional campaigns – new deals await you every week at Gamesplanet. Buy smart, play more! For example, with these three tasty sales.

Weekly offers

Our Weekly Deals deserve special attention again this week. These are our weekly offers, which we replace with new ones every Monday. This week you can save on 73 games and DLCs from all genres, of which we would particularly like to recommend Frostpunk 2 (-52%), The Alters (-40%) and Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes series, especially Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened with an 88% discount. An adventure game with the tagline ‘Lovecraft meets Sherlock Holmes’ – what could possibly go wrong?

Indie Deals

Games from indie studios are usually pretty cheap to begin with. But you can get them even cheaper in our Indie Deals promo, which is available now. With 370 offers, it's a massive sale. Included are indie gems such as the online co-op game Gloomhaven (-69%) and Ember Knights (-55%), an action rogue-lite for one to four players in which you take on the role of a knight battling a mad mage and his hordes of fiends.

Frontier Promo

Many well-known games come from Frontier Developments. 82 of them will be included in our promotional campaign when the sale starts on November 5th. This is a real treat for Warhammer and dinosaur fans in particular, with games such as Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin and Jurassic World Evolution. Zoos are only good to a certain extent, so it's better to keep fences around animals virtual and take good care of them in the zoo simulation Planet Zoo – which will be available at Gamesplanet with a hefty 72% discount when the sale starts on November 5th.

More games and DLCs on offer? Check our promotions page regularly, browse through the sale tabs above, and scroll through the offer pages until your fingers get sore – praise the pile of shame!
