Scorn prologue gameplay video from IGN
Scorn, developed by Ebb Software and distributed by Kepler Interactive, let's you wander through a nightmare world. The horror game trades jumpscares for a constant feeling of dread - IGN gameplay highlights why this could be a good choice.
Hardly anyone can say exactly what the horror adventure game Scorn is about. Set in a completely alien, disgusting world full of organic structures, you occasionally walk around with a gun - but you don't really shoot aliens with it. Scorn's developer Ebb Software never really takes the player by the hand. No back story, no path markers, no hope. Or is there? It's more about exploring all the areas in detail and making sense of all the different gadgets.
In terms of gameplay, it can perhaps be compared to Myst or other adventures by Cyan Worlds. Run around, try everything out, see what happens when you press this one button and then look for connections between the elements to finally crack puzzles one after the other and make new areas accessible. The trailers released so far show off the beautiful graphics, but hardly explain the game. See the IGN's prologue gameplay and see what you think.
