Gold edition not rewarded with key

I was gifted the Gold edition, and it shows on my store page on Gamesplanet that I own the Gold edition. However, when I entered my key on Steam I was not granted the Gold edition, and the page for the game in my library shows available for download on 9/9. I believe I received a wrong key in error.
