After managing a tavern, a ship, and even the liberation of baronies, Wartales Contract: The Fief challenges you to influence the fate of an entire feudal domain.

The DLC “The Fief” (also known as Wartales - Contract: The Fief) arrives on September 25th with the aim of adding another strategic dimension to Wartales while remaining faithful to the original spirit of the game: survival, freedom of choice, and decisions whose consequences are never trivial.

Like any feudal lord, in Wartales Contract: The Fief you must increase your population and expand your land, unlocking new districts, buildings, and forms of government. Your fief produces resources that contribute to four basic needs: food, defense, trade goods, and knowledge.

The balance between these four needs determines the happiness of your population, which in turn determines the growth of the fief. A larger population produces more, but also has more needs. The population evolves, with some citizens becoming scholars, others farmers, and still others bandits. Each has their own influence, their own needs, and triggers events that you will have to deal with.
