Is it really region locked? couldn't you just activate de code using a vpn?
Hello, I bought the US version (cheaper than the EU version) but I had not seen the region locked problem when I activated.
I managed to activate by switching my account to US as explained, then immediately after I switched my account back to FR, so I have the game that appears well on my Origin, will I be able to play or is this going to have a problem?
replyI tried only switching the region on my origin account from Italy, to colorado and it worked for me...first attempt with Italy as location get me an error, second try with colorado worked fine, and i can find the game on my library, and also Beta access is unlocked. so i can confirm this.
replyIf you've activated the game you won't have any issues, if yo do feel free to email us via [email protected]
replyHey man, can this game be activated in Israel?
replyIf you see a sign saying "Will not activate in your region!" below "Add to cart" button, then no.
replyhey friend, this game can be activate in mexico?
replyHey, yes it can.
replyCan I activate it from Canada? Is Canada considered in the US region?
replyYes it'll work for you.
replyCan I activate it from EU? Is it region locked for which ones?
replyIf you're purchasing from the US store it cannot be activated in Europe, however you can use the UK/DE/FR stores and it'll work for you.
replyHi there, unfortunately that's correct. There's more to it than just the IP location. There are other factors taken into account when trying to activate the game like Origin region settings, payment handle and probably others. Your activation attempt will be blocked. EA is thorough with their region locks.
