Important! How to install COD: Modern Warfare on your PC with the Blizzard App (Battle.net client)

You purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at Gamesplanet, connected the game to your Battle.net account (instructions) and now you want to download and install the game itself? You can do this conveniently with the "Battle.net Desktop App" from Blizzard. It is required for the installation process. Read here how to download Blizzard's client, install it, and then start the download.

Download and install Blizzard's App - a step-by-step guide

Step 1: Visit the official Blizzard download page and click "Download for Windows".

Step 2: Run the downloaded file "Battle.net-Setup.exe", install the app, start it and enter the login data of your Blizzard account to log in. Don't have a Blizzard account yet? Then click on "Create a free Blizzard Account" below and log in after that.

Step 3: In the Blizzard App, click the "MW" icon on the left and after that "Install" on the right. After downloading over 117 GB, the Battle.net client installs the game on the desired drive and you can start Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Please stop calling us fraud, we're an official retailer working directly with Activision and are even listed on their website for the game. You must redeem the game on Battle Net directly, which you have yet to do because it's waiting on your account page. Once you've done that you'll be able to download the game from the Battle Net launcher.

Anyway, I did everything listed. I activated the product, downloaded more crap to my drive, opened it, and nothing. It's not there, want screen shots as proof? I'm not new to this world. I've bought 100s of games over the years and never had a problem like this. Steam works, why can't this?

That leaves me with two options. Fraud or absolute incompetence. I should be able to pay, download, and play. You know, how every other game in human history worked? help me fix it, and I'll retract my statement publicly. I have no problem with that. I just hate it when things have extra steps. Which this has in abundance.

You can reach out to [email protected] if you're having problems. There's no need to treat everything as fraud. Sometimes problems arise, we're not scamming you out of a game though. To say otherwise is just misleading, and yes I understand it's frustrating when you can't download, but reach out to us and we'll assist you further.

The game did redeem on your account, it's likely there's another issue at work.

We're helping you, please respond to my email. This error is easily fixed, just keep trying to redeem it - or use another browser. You've attempted once to redeem the game, which was today. Not sure why you think this problem will take 2 days to resolve, we're not that slow ;)
