Important! How to install COD: Modern Warfare on your PC with the Blizzard App (Battle.net client)

You purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at Gamesplanet, connected the game to your Battle.net account (instructions) and now you want to download and install the game itself? You can do this conveniently with the "Battle.net Desktop App" from Blizzard. It is required for the installation process. Read here how to download Blizzard's client, install it, and then start the download.

Download and install Blizzard's App - a step-by-step guide

Step 1: Visit the official Blizzard download page and click "Download for Windows".

Step 2: Run the downloaded file "Battle.net-Setup.exe", install the app, start it and enter the login data of your Blizzard account to log in. Don't have a Blizzard account yet? Then click on "Create a free Blizzard Account" below and log in after that.

Step 3: In the Blizzard App, click the "MW" icon on the left and after that "Install" on the right. After downloading over 117 GB, the Battle.net client installs the game on the desired drive and you can start Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I am at level (rank) 69 by now, not due to any skill but simple persistence. Lol. I guess I have to check at which point (level) the XRK weapons pack becomes available. Again, thank you for the info.

Would you happen to know why killstreaks are not working on the rare occasion that I manage to qualify for one? I have keys assigned, yet nothing happens when I push them. No killstreak menu or message pops up. It used to prior to the various updates, patches, and additional content. Just wondering if you have any suggestions for me since I got you "on the line".

Not sure about the killstreaks, could be only available on certain modes. Check which killstreaks you have unlocked on the "Killstreaks" maybe and see which are assigned :)

I did that several times already. As for certain modes, I see everyone else use killstreaks in the games/modes I play. However, I cannot enable or use my killstreaks.
