Important! How to install COD: Modern Warfare on your PC with the Blizzard App (Battle.net client)

You purchased Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at Gamesplanet, connected the game to your Battle.net account (instructions) and now you want to download and install the game itself? You can do this conveniently with the "Battle.net Desktop App" from Blizzard. It is required for the installation process. Read here how to download Blizzard's client, install it, and then start the download.

Download and install Blizzard's App - a step-by-step guide

Step 1: Visit the official Blizzard download page and click "Download for Windows".

Step 2: Run the downloaded file "Battle.net-Setup.exe", install the app, start it and enter the login data of your Blizzard account to log in. Don't have a Blizzard account yet? Then click on "Create a free Blizzard Account" below and log in after that.

Step 3: In the Blizzard App, click the "MW" icon on the left and after that "Install" on the right. After downloading over 117 GB, the Battle.net client installs the game on the desired drive and you can start Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

i am getting this issue Error Code: BLZBNTBGS7FFFFF00. i tried to enable private networks, port forward 3074 TCP and UDP. I reinstalled blizzard and call of duty modern warfare

Hey, not really sure what's causing this issue there doesn't appear to be much online about it. Have you tried to reaching out to Blizzard or Activision support?

After Linking my account, I discovered it told me i needed to restart the app. Did so and there it was a BIG GREEN button that said Install. lol took me 15 min to figure that out cause at first all it said was Buy now

I'm installing right now. I'll admit, it could be a bit confusing, but once you link your blizzard account with your battle.net account, you will then get the green button to activate with battle.net

I even have my authenticator enabled, and received legitimate login requests through the battle.net app through GP.

Please just take a breath, read those instructions, and stay calm.

EDIT: GP Team, I feel for ya...

Thanks for the kind words, yes problems do arise but we're always helping to resolve the issues that crop up. Especially with big releases like this, sometimes things go wrong, but it doesn't mean we give up.
