Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 – The Blood Ravens and Dark Angels clash on Kronus in the trailer

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 shows the Dark Angels coming to the aid of the Blood Ravens on Kronus in a new trailer. Don’t expect any gameplay footage – but the CGI footage shown looks astonishingly good.

Dark Angels rescue the Blood Ravens on Kronus

In the new CGI trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4, Captain Cyrus and his company of Blood Ravens are on the brink of defeat as Chronomancer Thothmek’s Necrons overrun everything. At the last moment, reinforcements arrive: the Dark Angels, including their Primarch, accompanied by iconic units from the Warhammer universe.

Who are the Blood Ravens, and what makes Kronus so special?

The Blood Ravens are the Space Marine chapter featured in the Dawn of War series; they are an Order created specifically for the series and, in a sense, its flagship. You’ll recognise Kronus from Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. The planet serves as a vital recruitment world for the order. Ever since the Great Rift opened, the Marines have been cut off from further reinforcements, making Kronus even more valuable. At the same time, hordes of xenos threaten what remains of Cyrus’s company. For the Blood Ravens, therefore, nothing less than their future is at stake.

What to expect in the RTS

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 4 is a real-time strategy game featuring base building, massive armies and brutal Sync Kills in close combat. You’ll take command of four factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Each has its own campaign, totalling over 70 missions, to be played solo or in co-op. As Space Marines, you’ll command both the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels.

The PC release is scheduled for December 3rd 2026. If you don’t fancy waiting quite that long, grab the Commander Edition and jump into Advanced Access three days earlier.
